Delta Tau Delta was founded in 1858 at Bethany College in northern West Virginia. The fraternity was founded out of a dispute within the Neotrophian Literary Society, an organization that allowed students to practice and demonstrate their skills in poetry, public speaking and writing essays. Eight men saw fault within the organization and decided to form a secret society at the college, which would go on to become the organization we see today. These men were united by a common set of moral principles: Truth, Courage, Faith, and Power. These principles guided Delts through its founding and continue to do so to this day.
The Zeta Omega Chapter at Bradley University was founded in 1987 and we have strived to reach the same level of excellence as our founders. We have won numerous awards over the years with the most recent being the Hugh Shields Award this past year. This prestigious award is given to the top 10 chapters in the country.
